NEW MODERN PREMISES REFLECTING WEGA BRAND IMAGE – A CUSTOMER STORY
Wega Group Oy was one of the first companies to move to Swing House as soon as the facilities were completed in March 2022. Wega’s mission is to find the best clean energy solutions for its customers and to act as their guide throughout the green energy leap. Wega services cover the production and distribution of renewable fuels as well as building reliable and sustainable supply chains. They are focusing on smart solutions for sustainable future. Wega offers energy sourcing, terminal services and environmental services.
The company needed a bigger and at the same time more modern premises to support its growth. The solution was found in Swing House in the middle of strongly developing Keilaniemi.
Wega has been operating in four locations before Swing House. The selection criteria for the new office were good accessibility, a work environment that supports well-being at work and modern premises that support their brand image. Public transport is a few minutes’ walk away and the new up-coming Jokeri Light Rail Line will increase public transport possibilities even more. The airport can be reached in less than half an hour, and free parking space for customers can be found right next to the main entrance of Swing House.
Large windows bring natural light to the office
There is plenty of light in the new office with windows to all directions. Attention has also been paid to the high-quality and functional lighting in the property where natural light is utilized. Wega carried out the space planning independently. The largest section of the 469 square meters space is an open office. Designated workstations are arranged as teams in open space without restrictive barriers. The office space has three conference rooms of different sizes and two private spaces for Teams meetings.
A relaxed lounge area with sofa groups connected to the kitchen further enhance the sense of community. The much-needed coffee machine is now available for the whole Wega office. The common area can be modified and can be used for joint meetings and events for the entire staff.
“We have great time in our new office and it suits our current needs and our hybrid work model. It is also possible to get additional space from Swing House when necessary, which supports our growth in the longer term,” says Anu Lukkarinen, Office Manager of Wega.
A functional floor plan ensures flexibility
The good layout of the premises and the two entrances, opening in different directions, make everyday life easier. One of the entrances is used for customer meetings because of the direct access to the conference room through the guest hall. In total, Wega’s premises include three meeting rooms of different sizes.
The Swing House communal facilities increase comfort. For example, Wega’s 10th Anniversary Event for all customers was held in the stylish Swing House lobby and restaurant area. In the WELL-certified office building attention has been paid to ventilation, temperatures and energy-saving motion-controlled lighting. The central staircase with its green walls and the soothing sounds designed for the staircase inspire you to exercise with extra steps.
“The fact that our new green plants started growing quickly and are flourishing in our office is a sign of good indoor air in our office,” says Anu Lukkarinen.
Swing House services support well-being at work
Well-being is improved by Swing House’s services. The employees of Wega regularly take advantage of the new gym with its equipment. The cycle path leads directly to the office buildings bike park connected to the cloakroom and shower facilities. The cosy lunch restaurant Well7 offers opportunity for lunch get-togethers every day. A healthy lunch offering, and a rich salad table will bring extra energy.
“Swing House has a great lunch restaurant and Thursday’s ice cream buffet is everyone’s favourite. We are joking that we are ‘collectively’ hungry at 11 o’clock, and that’s when we get together for lunch.”
Professional gym guidance and sound therapy were introduced at the Info Day
Wega’s staff is looking forward to joint activities with new tenants as Swing House is filling up. The barbecue area being built in the courtyard increases expectations for next summer. At the Info Day organized for tenant companies, Swing House’s service providers presented their offerings. During the day we had for example a wellness spirit, free InBody tests, gym guidance and sound bowl therapy.
“We enjoy our time at Swing House, and we are looking forward to meet new neighbours as well. We have received positive feedback from our customers that the new premises look just like us.
